The group established a new officer position to help organize and promote community service opportunities.
The event, titled “Navigating the Outdoor Economy in Southwestern North Carolina,” will be recorded for statewide broadcast later in June.
Conducted by email, the survey targeted graduates of UNC System universities who received bachelor’s degrees between 1940 and 2018.

The gathering focused on the topic “A Collection of Primary Care Practice Conundrums.”
The Engagement Scholarship Consortium will present WCU with its Faculty Community Engagement Award at its annual conference in Denver in October.
Action to fill the Kimmel and Madison distinguished professorships was part of the board's quarterly meeting Friday, June 7.
Awards were received in May 2019 for a variety of projects involving university faculty, staff and students.
The board also paid tribute to three of its members whose terms are expiring – Patricia B. Kaemmerling, Wardell Townsend and Grace Battle – and welcomed SGA President David Rhode as an ex-officio member.
