Music education major Kendall Rhymer wins first prize in Sounding WCU art contest

Western Carolina University senior Kendall Rhymer was recently named the winner of the university’s Sounding WCU art contest. Rhymer, who is majoring in music education, philosophy and religion, took home the $400 first place prize with her project titled “Tali Tsigwaya Gaduhv (Two Sparrows Town).

It seems the stars were aligned for Tom Frazier to live a life of paper and ink, of milestones and memories, of students and their dreams. Even he will acknowledge the ease with which new doors opened as others closed, always leading him to places that seemed to need him most.
