Six students are back in the U.S. after participating in an annual summer study-abroad program that took them to the Land of the Rising Sun for a firsthand look at Japanese business, industry and culture.

WCU donors shatter fundraising record with more than $35.8 million in FY24

The WCU Foundation received more than $35.8 million in gifts and pledges during the recently concluded 2024 fiscal year. That represents $23.2 million more in commitments over the previous fiscal year’s $12.6 million.

School of Nursing receives UNC System grant

WCU submitted a detailed proposal outlining the needs and plans for its nursing program, which resulted in the award of $2,474,700 to expand and enhance its Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Students from Cape Fear Community College will be guaranteed admission to WCU thanks to a new memorandum of understanding between the two institutions.

WCU’s Board of Trustees elected Casey Cooper as its chair during a special called meeting Wednesday, July 10, replacing former chair Kathy Greeley, who was recently appointed to the UNC Board of Governors.
