10th annual Cullowhee Canoe Slalom to be held on Tuckaseigee River

The event offers both individual and partner events with canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards.

Enrollment hits 12,000 for new record; driven by gains in distance, graduate populations

The latest tally comes just two years after student head count eclipsed 11,000 for the first time, and it marks the eighth time out of the past nine years that the number of students enrolled at the university has risen.

Taking The Reins

It was November 1981 when a 23-year-old Kelli McCormack first graced the cover of a magazine. The publication was The Ohio Quarter Horse Association News, and the reason for the prominent placement of her smiling visage was that McCormack had recently won the title of Miss Rodeo Ohio and was in contention for Miss Rodeo America.
