Early voting at WCU starts at the UC Multipurpose room on October 15th and goes through October 30th. The polling place is open M-F from 8:00am-7:30pm and Saturdays from 8:00am-6:00pm; and October 31st from 8:00am-3:00pm. Hunter Library’s guide provides info for registration, absentee voting, early and in-person voting, and will help you get the facts about candidates, sample ballots, and polling data for local, North Carolina, and National elections. The guide also features strategies and resources for identifying fake news—before you share it!
In the midst of a global pandemic, we are also experiencing an “infodemic” of hoaxes,
conspiracy theories, and misinformation. What can you do? Join the HL News Challenge! Each day for the next few weeks, we will present a quick and easy task to help you
adopt healthier information practices.
Each task will be posted to the library’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts and will link to further information to help you build your media literacy and adopt a more nourishing news diet.
Please check the WCU website for information about COVID-19.
