NEH offering grant application writing workshop in Asheville

The free workshop will be presented by Geoff Burrows, senior program officer in the NEH Division of Research Programs.  


New doctor of psychology program announces speaker series

The series will feature cartoonist Bob Mankoff; Thomas Joiner, one of the world’s leading authorities on suicide; and clinical psychologist Scott Lilienfeld from Emory University.

Presentation by Gifford Pinchot III, wife Libba kicks off 2019-20 campus theme

Pinchot III is the grandson of Gifford Pinchot Sr., the first chief of the U.S. Forest Service who once managed forests of the Biltmore Estate.  


Outdoor economy initiative at WCU named finalist for national award

“Outdoor Recreation as an Economic and Community Engagement Catalyst in Western North Carolina” is the university's name for a regional collaborative designed to boost the already thriving outdoor industry.  


Pride of the Mountains Marching Band looks to inspire others to ‘Believe’

In addition to performing at WCU's six home football games, the band will make its second appearance in five years at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
