WCU dance team coaches create scholarship in memory of former member

To honor former WCU student Amber Parker, her former dance team coaches — Jessica Graning, Lindsi Cauley and Amy Manshack — created the Amber Parker Memorial Annual Scholarship, which offers $1,000 in scholarship support to a qualifying dance team member each year.

WCU Board of Trustees passes resolution urging passage of state budget, raises for faculty, staff

The Western Carolina University Board of Trustees approved a resolution in support of a rapid conclusion to a months-long impasse between the General Assembly and Gov. Roy Cooper that has tied up salary increases for faculty and staff, delayed funding for a replacement to WCU’s aging steam plant and forced university officials to consider slowing enrollment growth.
