University schedules Open House for prospective students, families

The event provides an opportunity to tour the campus, learn about WCU's award-winning academic programs, and find out the important details of topics such as financial aid.  


Hannah Sink, Jonah Weston announced as 2018 Homecoming royalty

Hannah Sink, a senior from Kernersville majoring in communication sciences and disorders, and Jonah Weston, a junior from Raleigh majoring in communication, are the university's new Homecoming queen and king.  


WCU African-American Alumni Society launches during Homecoming weekend

The WCU African-American Alumni Society will host several events surrounding Homecoming, including its first general meeting Saturday, Nov. 6, in the Hospitality Room of Ramsey Regional Activity Center during a post-game reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  


More donations are needed to help university meet its SECC goal

The 2018 State Employees Combined Campaign at WCU is moving through its final days, and additional donations are being sought from faculty and staff to help meet this year’s goal of $32,000.

The First-Generation College Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 8, will feature a keynote address by English professor Brian Railsback and a panel discussion with first-generation students, faculty and staff.
