As the 12th Chancellor of Western Carolina University, Dr. Kelli R. Brown charts the course for our university and the region we serve. We are proud to have an experienced and respected leader who inspires our campus community to strive past what we believe is possible and to embrace our successes.
Chancellor Kelli R. Brown reflects on her first year in office and commends WCU’s students, faculty, staff and alumni for rising up to respond to challenging times. We take a look back at what a year it has been.
Dear WCU Campus Community: We successfully concluded one of the most difficult semesters in our university’s history this fall and I want to express my deep gratitude to the work of all our faculty, staff and students for your perseverance, determination, and resilience.
Like many of you, I was deeply troubled by the violent takeover of the U.S. Capitol and attempts to disrupt one of the most important tenets of our democracy, the peaceful transition of power. The actions today were simply unacceptable, and violence must always be condemned.
A message to faculty and staff expressing appreciation for doing what was needed for a successful fall semester and a reminder to stay safe and well over the holiday break. Be sure to check your campus mailbox in the coming days for a special gift commemorating the holiday season.
