The WCU Board of Trustees awarded former trustee Ed Broadwell a doctorate of humane letters at the university’s May commencement ceremonies. Broadwell also served on the North Carolina Board of Governors and is a retired chairman and chief executive officer emeritus of HomeTrust Bank.
