Western Carolina University’s College of Engineering and Technology will be offering several new and refreshed concentrations this fall as part of the college’s program expansion.
WCU will offer concentrations in computer engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical power and clean energy, and robotics and automation.
“Our programs equip our students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the engineering professions through our hands-on, project-based learning, industry engagement and application-oriented experiences,” said Randy Collins, dean of the College of Engineering and Technology. “We are thrilled to offer these new concentrations as part of our program expansion and provide specializations in engineering disciplines needed by our industry and business partners and respond to the growing demand of talented engineering students.”
The program expansion was enabled by funding from the North Carolina General Assembly biennial 2023-2025 state budget.
