Kossick lectures at international conference

Mark A. Kossick, WCU professor of nursing, director of graduate programs in nursing and interim director of the post-master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at the university’s Biltmore Park instructional site, presented six lectures at an international conference held in Falmouth, Massachusetts, on July 15-16 and 18-19.

Kossick’s lectures included “Essential Concepts for EKG Interpretation,” “Understanding the Pros and Cons of ST Segment Analysis,” “EKG Lead Selection: How do I Determine What Is Best for My Patient?” “Diagnostic Criteria for Myocardial Infarction,” “EKG Lead Selection and Current Treatment Strategies for Atrial Fibrillation” and “Practice EKG Interpretation.”

Seminar attendees included various physician and advanced practice nurse specialists with some participants attending from Belgium, Canada, Saudi Arabia and the U.S.  The meeting was sponsored by A. Webb Roberts Center for Continuing Medical Education of Baylor Health Care System in Dallas and Northwest Anesthesia Seminars in Pasco, Washington.
