Western Carolina University’s Office of Professional Growth and Enrichment will be offering a workshop focusing on “Contract Negotiations, Liability and Risk Factors in Business” from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at WCU’s instructional site at Biltmore Park in Asheville.

Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the importance of contracts in business transactions, including the basics of contract law, how to identify the three major types of risk, how to choose and apply one of the four risk mitigation measures to protect a business and negotiating strategies to create competitive advantage.
Participants can apply the workshop as credit toward obtaining their event planning certificate.
The cost for the workshop is $119 and lunch is included.
