Western Carolina University’s Office of Professional Growth and Enrichment is offering a class in aqua fitness from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays during the spring semester at the Reid Gymnasium pool on WCU’s campus.
The class will begin Jan. 14 and run through May 3.
Participants will participate in a variety of aqua exercises designed to increase cardiovascular endurance. Thursday classes will focus on “Aqua Zumba.”
Benefits of water aerobics include allowing a person to exercise every muscle and joint in the body at the same time with less strain and stress on joints and muscles due to the buoyancy of the water.
The nonrefundable registration fee is $65.
