The Psychology Department at Western Carolina University offers one of the largest undergraduate majors at the university. Students can also minor in psychology. In addition, three graduate degree programs are offered, including Specialist in School Psychology, a Masters in Psychology with a track in Clinical Psychology and a Doctorate of Psychology.
Our faculty maintains expertise in multiple areas (e.g., clinical psychology, school psychology, forensic psychology, evolutionary psychology, & developmental psychology), and teach a wide variety of exciting and engaging courses. Psychology Undergraduate Program
The McKee Assessment and Psychological Services Clinic is also housed in the Psychology Department. This is a state of the art clinic providing comprehensive psychological services to members of the community and to WCU students.
The Psychology Department at WCU is an active place. Some of our departmental activities include our weekly Research Colloquium and active undergraduate and graduate student organizations – Psi Chi and Psychology Club
