‘WCU Night’ set for Aug. 21 at Asheville Tourists baseball game
When the Asheville Tourists host the Augusta GreenJackets on Tuesday, Aug. 21, they are hoping to see a sea of purple in the stands since that night has been declared “WCU Night.”
As part of the promotion, there will be a special Western Carolina University section
with 200 seats available for $7. The WCU athletics department is asking all faculty,
staff, students, alumni and fans to show their school pride by wearing WCU gear.
Men’s basketball coach Mark Prosser will throw out the first pitch. The game is set for 7:05 p.m. at McCormick Field. Tickets can be purchased in advanced HERE or by calling the Tourists’ ticket office at 828-258-0428, ext. 3.
