Please note: Voicemail, Email, and Submit a Ticket support are monitored daily after close until 9pm. Action will be taken on any priority issues affecting most of the campus. e.g. network outage. All other requests will be followed up on the next business day. For after-hours and weekend assistance, please consider walk-up support.

The IT Help portal and Madison the chatbot are available to help provide answers to the most frequently asked questions. You can search any keywords (e.g. Office 365 for Windows) in either IT Help or by chatting with Madison.

Craig A. Fowler, an information technology executive with more than 20 years of private-sector experience with several Fortune 500 companies, is Western Carolina University’s chief information officer and member of the Executive Council.
As a member of WCU's senior management team, the CIO is responsible for overseeing the university’s information technology operations and providing strategic leadership in planning, developing, implementing and maintaining technology and information systems that support the academic and administrative goals of the university.
Prior to joining WCU in July 2009, Craig was vice president of information technology at Corning Cable Systems, and served as CIO for the telecommunication cable and hardware division of the international Corning corporation. He also served as an information technology executive in positions at Dell, Raytheon and Texas Instruments.
A graduate of the University of West Florida with a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics, Craig earned his master’s degree in business administration at the University of Dallas.
