We invite you to join us for a fun-filled six days, stretching from Whitefish, Montana / Glacier National Park, to Missoula, Montana – home of the University of Montana. Our trip will culminate with a Super Saturday of tailgating (at our Missoula hotel – just a short walk from Grizzly Stadium) and the football game between the Catamounts and the Montana Grizzlies.
Enjoy a relaxing adventure, guided by small group travel company Explore Up Close, that offers Montana’s unique blend of fascinating stories and stunning landscapes. We’ll strike the perfect blend of a daily guided program, with down time to enjoy the Big Sky as you wish. Our lovely downtown hotels will be the perfect bases for group social gatherings and exploring quaint town streets. Our excursion into Glacier National Park will feature a guided, iconic “Red Bus Tour” along one of the world’s most jaw-dropping drives. The trip will hold options for a guided fly-fishing experience with WCU Provost Richard Starnes and exploration of the Clark’s Fork Valley. It’s a one-of-a-kind adventure, and a special opportunity to build “Catamount community” in one of the world’s most inspiring settings. Join us!

Day 1 | Arrive in Kalispell, Montana, and shuttle to the hotel in Whitefish. Enjoy rest and relaxation, followed by dinner at your leisure.
Day 2 | Embark on a Glacier National Park exploration, including a Red Bus Tour on Going-to-the-Sun Road. Conclude the day with a group dinner.
Day 3 | After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Whitefish to Missoula, stopping at Hungry Horse Dam, Conrad Mansion Museum in Kalispell, and Flathead Lake.
Day 4 | Select your adventure: join a fly-fishing excursion with Provost Richard Starnes, take a guided walking tour of Missoula, or enjoy a free day exploring at your own pace.
Day 5 | Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a tailgate event. Head to Grizzly Stadium for the Catamounts vs. Grizzlies football game. Dinner is on your own this evening.
Day 6 | Bid farewell to fellow travelers and Missoula. Shuttle service to the Missoula Airport is provided by the hotel.

Note: Tour schedule is subject to change due to local conditions. Many excursions in this program involve an element of walking as some of the finest attractions are located in areas not closely accessible by motorcoach.
