The School of Art and Design believes your education should be as individual as you are. We place high value on creativity, critical thinking, project development, community engagement and collaboration, as well as mastery of technique and craftsmanship. Our faculty bring to the studio and classroom a commitment to the process of innovation and skill building as well as a wide range of experience as makers, collaborators and researchers. 

Fields of Study

B.F.A. Studio Art Emphasis

Undergraduate and graduate studios can choose to concentrate in areas including ceramics, painting, printmaking and bookmaking, photography or sculpture.

Graphic Design

B.F.A. Graphic Design Emphasis

A B.F.A in Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design prepares students for a career in the growing field of graphic design. You'll learn the necessary skills as well as art and design theory and innovation.

Interior Design

B.F.A. Art Education Emphasis

Prepares students to teach and support a studio approach to art education. Students receive Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Educations dual degrees.

Students to gain a foundation in both studio art and art history, and then select a variety of upper level elective courses, focusing on their own areas of interest.

Master of Fine Arts Program


Our residential MFA program is a structured 3-year, 60-credit sequence of courses in studio art and research. Students who are admitted are provided with ample studio space and given the freedom of choice to work in a specific discipline or across any of our five program areas: Ceramics, Painting/Drawing, Photography, Printmaking + Book-Arts, and Sculpture.
