Education Student Wins WCU Research and Scholarship Conference Presentation Competition
Tracy Hewitt, a student in the Elementary and Middle Grades Education MAED was named a winner for the 2021 WCU Graduate School Research and Scholarship Conference Featured Presentation Competition. Her presentation was entitled: Engineering in STEM: Impact on Male and Female Elementary Student Engagement.
Tracy's research studied the similarities and differences of girls' and boys' attitude towards engineering and STEM before and after an intentional STEM Engineering Unit. Tracy is a 3rd grade teacher in Asheville, NC.
