5th World Languages Poetry Event

The 5th World Languages Poetry Event took place this past Valentine's Day at UC Illusions. 14 members of the WCU community (students and faculty) participated in this already traditional event aimed at celebrating love in a variety of languages. This year we had entries in Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Cherokee and, for the first time, Middle English (thanks to English professor Brian Gastle for that linguistic treat). 

This event has become a staple in our yearly calendar. We thank Dr. Garrett Fisher for his leadership in this event. We also want to thank our student Kayla Boger (standing row; far right) for stepping up and assuming a leadership role in this event. You did a great job coordinating and hosting the event. We are incredibly proud of you.
