Dr. García-Castañón's novel Vida y fabulosas aventuras de Pedro Menéndez de Avilés was published in Spain over the summer in a bilingual edition: The Life and Fabulous Adventures of Pedro Menéndez de Avilés. The novel is written in the first person in 16th-century Spanish, and it is a historical novel about the Spanish seaman and explorer who founded the city of St. Augustine, FL, in 1565.

Santiago has also had a busy presentation schedule over the summer. Some of his presentations include:
