The NAPS 2023 Conference will be held at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Asheville, North Carolina

The Banquet of NAPS 2023 will be held at the A.K. Hinds University Center on Monday Oct. 16, 2023.

Students selected for the Student Housing Program will be accommodated in the DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville - Biltmore. Free student housing covered by the Student Housing Program will only cover Oct. 15th check-in and Oct. 17th check-out.

Non-student attendees and students not selected for the Student Housing Program can book rooms with NAPS negotiated rates at the DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville - Biltmore by using this link BOOK ONLINE.

Friday, October 13th or Saturday, October 14th Night Lodging Options

October is tourist season in Asheville, NC for the beautiful fall colors and events in the mountains of Western North Carolina.  As a result, the hotel options for arrival prior to the first day of NAPS on Sunday, October 15 may be challenging.  We urge you to book accommodations soon if you wish to arrive early or stay late. For anyone planning to take one of the Sunday field trips to the Duke Energy Hot Springs microgrid or Bad Creek pump storage facilities, you will need to be in the Asheville area by Sunday morning.

For those considering to travel to Asheville on Friday (October 13) or Saturday (October 14), we have identified some limited housing options to consider.  One option is the Lutheridge Camp and Conference Center, located close to the Asheville (AVL) airport, and about 8 miles from the NAPS conference hotel.  Lutheridge is not a hotel per se, but is mid-century lodge style housing on the property of a beautiful Lutheran church retreat property, which includes:

Double occupancy room (two persons per room), two beds per room, private bathroom, linens, private entrances to rooms, which open into a hallway.

Wifi and good cellular 5G will be available. TV and refrigerators are not available.

This is a quiet, peaceful setting yet located nearby restaurants, fast food, shopping, Interstate 26, the airport, and the conference hotel.

We have approximately 10 rooms available, for the modest cost of $88/night per room. These are first-come, first-serve. Please let us know right away if you are interested in staying at Lutheridge. Our deadline to reserve the rooms is Friday, August 18.
