The Leadership, Equity, and Access Fellowship in Early Childhood Education (LEAF in ECE) could be for you! LEAF
Fellows will have the opportunity to earn a Birth-Kindergarten license in a fully-online environment.

Why LEAF in ECE?

The project aims to increase the number of licensed early childhood educators in western North Carolina through a to licensure with a focus on equity and leadership in Early Childhood Education.

Eligibility Information: Candidates must have ~ 30 hours of transfer credit from a community college OR a degree from an accredited university. Preference will be given to applicants who identify as:

  • BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color);
  • Linguistically Diverse;
  • a First-Generation college student
  • Living and/or working in a rural community; and/or
  • Having experienced barriers to applying for, attending, or graduating from a college or a university in the past

**Fellows must also be admitted to WCU, the BK Program, and Teacher Education.
