Sonja Himes

Biography

Ms. Himes was born and raised in North Carolina and hasn't found a place she would rather call home yet. She attended UNC-Asheville for her undergraduate degree and WCU for her graduate degree, both in biology. She has taught at WCU for 16 wonderful years and currently teaches Environmental Biology, Plants and Society and Introductory Biology I labs. Her passions are plants, gardening and natural resource conservation and she is an active member of several local conservation organizations.
