Dr. Nancy Valverde earned her doctoral degree from the Pennsylvania State University in Counselor Education. Originally from Southern California, she has traveled across the United States throughout her educational journey, earning her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas-Tyler. Dr. Valverde’s specialty is trauma-informed clinical mental health counseling, and she researches adverse childhood experiences among Latinx emerging adults. She is passionate about working with the emerging adult population, particularly those who hold racially marginalized identities.
