I completed my B.S. at the University of Texas at Austin in 2013 and earned my PhD at North Carolina State University in 2019. I held positions as a postdoctoral scholar at Florida State University and Clemson University from 2019-2023, and joined the WCU Biology Faculty as an assistant professor in 2023.
I enjoy teaching courses related to ecology and evolution and plant biology. I combine lecture, hands-on, discussion, and writing-based modalities.

Courses that I currently teach include:
General Ecology (BIOL 304)
Methods in Ecology and Evolution (BIOL 375 and 675)
Species Interactions (BIOL 493)
I am interested in the evolution of floral traits and reproductive strategies among animal-pollinated plants.
