Biography

Jeanne was raised in Brevard, NC. She is a graduate from the social work program at WCU and the Master's in social work program at USC-Columbia. She is currently enrolled in the Doctorate program at the University of St Thomas and St Catherine in Minnesota. She loves to fly fish, read and hike in her spare time. She and her husband are foster parents in Jackson County.

Teaching Interests

Jeanne loves teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate program at WCU. Her particular interests are in Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Social Policy, Diversity and Children and Families Issues.

Research Interests

Jeanne is currently conducting research on SoTL and a particular teaching model called the Bottleneck Model. She is also interested in Smart Decarceration and issues impacting foster children and foster parents.
