Dr. Candice Laney is an associate professor at Western Carolina University. Dr. Laney brings 20 years of clinical experience to the classroom. She has served in several nursing leadership roles and has a clinical background including experience in public health, home health, geriatric, and peri-operative nursing.<br>She earned her doctoral degree in nursing practice as a dual enrolled student at Western Carolina University & University of North Carolina -Charlotte. Dr. Laney also maintains the designation of Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) by the National League for Nursing.<br>Dr. Laney is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is also an active member of the National League for Nurses, ANA-American Nurses Association, NCNA- North Carolina Nursing Association, and the PHI KAPPA PHI Honor Society.
