Research Interests

Dr. Byllesby is interested in the construct validity of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the relationships between latent factors of PTSD and other comorbid distress disorders and related constructs, such as anger. She studies how PTSD is associated with transdiagnostic factors, such as distress tolerance and emotion dysregulation. In addition, she is interested in mechanisms of change during evidence-based trauma-focused treatments for PTSD.
