America's Premier Mountain Dulcimer Education Program

Dulcimer U continues its long-standing tradition of giving students the absolute best educational experience available for the mountain dulcimer. Unlike many festivals around the country, Dulcimer U is not about the performers, it’s about you….the student.

Through our expanding offerings, we will provide only a first class instructional staff, many of which have earned advanced degrees in their various educational fields. Their experience as both classroom instructors as well as nationally sought after performers make them the very best at what they do.

Elaine & Larry Conger will host this one day event online via Zoom and simultaneously in person at WCU's Biltmore Park campus in Asheville, North Carolina.

The day will be dedicated to learning duet arrangements of familiar and not so familiar Christmas carols while celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of Larry's 2004 tab book "Christmas Duets For Mountain Dulcimer." These arrangements will feature parts for two standard dulcimers in DAD tuning and should be a perfect addition to the intermediate level player's holiday repertoire.  As an added bonus, each arrangement will include an optional bass dulcimer part.
