0012 05-1673 Larceny
Univ. Center Report

            Officers confronted a student who was carrying a "caution
wet" sign.

            Student said he was returning it to an RA. The sign was
taken from the

            University Center. The student was referred to Judicial
Affairs.

 

1900 05-1818 Warrant
Scott Hall Report

            A warrant was served on a male student for failure to
appear.

0944 05-1779 Unresponsive Child Day
Care Report

            Officers, along with EMS, responded to a report of an
unresponsive child at the

            Kneedler Day Care Center. The child was transported to
Harris Regional Hospital

            for observation.

 

1030 05-1771 Assault/Vandalism
Village Further Investigation

            Officers are investigating a slapping incident among
fraternity members at the ball game

            and a later, related, incident involving vandalism to a
fraternity's front door at the Village.

 

1100 05-1781 Damage to Vehicle McKee
Lot Report

            Officers investigated damage to a vehicle possibly caused by
construction

            work.

 

1408 05-1783 Handicap Parking Violation Campus
Citation

            Officers issued a citation for parking in a handicap space.

Citation

            Officers issued a citation for parking in a handicap space.

Citation

            Officers issued a citation for parking in a handicap space.

Forest hills Rd. Citation

            A student was issued a citation for 44 mph in a 20 mph zone.

 

2145 05-1770 Disorderly Student
Football Stadium Report

            A male student was taken out of the stands at the football
game for arguing and

            he had possibly been involved in fighting.

 

2245 05-1787 DWR/Speeding
Forest Hills Rd. Citation

            A female student was issued a citation for driving while
license revoked and

            speeding.

 

2348 05-1788 Alcohol Overdose
Scott hall Report

            Officers were called to Scott Hall to assist EMS with an
intoxicated female student.

            The student said she was just sick and returned to her room.
She declined medical

            attention.

            Officers responded to an alarm from a pull station. No
trouble located.

Walker Hall Report

            Officers responded to a stuck elevator. When officers
arrived they found the

            elevators were operating.

Walker Lot Further Investigation

            A student reported items taken from his vehicle.

 

1818 05-1799 Alarm
Outreach Center Report

            Officers responded to an alarm. No trouble located.

 

2339 05-1795 Threats
Central Dr. Hall Further Investigation

            A female student and her brother (a former student) were
involved in a drinking incident in

            a Central Dr. Hall room in which the brother threatened to
kill some students.

0241 05-1798 Disorderly Conduct
Buchanan Hall Banned

            Officers stopped four people on campus following a report
that one of the persons

            had been creating a disturbance in the Buchanan Lot. There
were three males and

            a female. They are not students and following an
identification check it was learned

            the males had previous arrest records. They had also been
drinking and were verbally

abusive to officers. Officers banned them from campus.

Central Dr. Report

            Officers investigated a minor motor vehicle accident.

 

1914 05-1796 Suspicious Odor
Benton Hall Report

            Officers investigated a report of a suspicious odor. A
student was smoking a cigar.

            The student was told to smoke outdoors. The student agreed
to that.

 

2358 05-1797 Noise Complaint
Reynolds Hall Report

            Offices responded to a noise complaint. The occupants of
the room would not

            respond to knocks on the door. Contact was made later.
There is a referral to

            residential living and judicial affairs.

            Officers reported several acts of vandalism between Outreach

Reynolds Report

            Officers responded to an alarm in a Reynolds Hall room.
Apparently there is a

            problem with the smoke detector.

 

1714 05-1808 Returned Wallet
Campus Report

            A student reported she left her wallet on top of her auto.
She then drove off and realized

            what happened when she arrived at an off campus business. In
the meantime someone

            found the wallet in front of Stillwell and turned it into
the police. Owner and wallet

were reunited. Nothing was missing.

Central hall Lot Citation

            Officers issued a student a citation for parking in a
handicap space.

 

2207 05-1813 DWI
NC 107 Arrest

            Officers charged a non-student with driving while impaired.

 

2240 05-1809 Speeding
Forest Hills Rd. Citation

            A student was issued a citation for 44 MPH in a 20 MPH zone.

 

2300 05-1811 Speeding
Forest Hills Rd. Citation

            A student was issued a citation for 50 MPH in a 20 MPH zone.

 

2353 05-1813 Threats/Resist Officer
Albright hall Arrest

            A male student was arrested and charged with communicating
threats, resisting

            public officer, possession of alcohol while underage and
simple physical assault.

            A parent was concerned because she had not heard from her
daughter in several

            days. The student was located and called home.

            Officers investigated an accident in which a power junction
box was struck

            by an unknown vehicle.

Helder Lot Report

            Officers investigated an accident involving an improperly
parked vehicle.

 

1200 05-1823 Stalking/Harassment Campus
Banned

            A non-student male was banned from campus for stalking and
frightening a student.

            There is a protective order against the male ordering him to
stay away from the

            female student. Officers have warned him that he will be
arrested for trespassing

            if he is found on campus.

 

1821 05-1828 Lost CAT Card
Scott Hall Report

            Officers deactivated a lost CAT Card.

 

1842 05-1829 Assist LEA
Speedwell Rd. Report

            Officers assisted at the scene of a minor traffic accident.

 

2355 05-1810 Alcohol Overdose
Reynolds Hall Report

            An intoxicated student was taken by EMS to Harris Regional
Hospital for observation.

            The student is underage.

 

2214 05-1833 ALEA
Off Campus Report

            Officers were requested to assist a Jackson County Deputy at
a nearby business

            just off campus. The incident involved a non-student and
employees of the business.

            The dispute was resolved.

Campus Referred

            A student was referred to Judicial Affairs for having an
open container in a vehicle.

            The driver was charged with driving while impaired.

Norton Hall Report

            Officers responded to an alarm. No trouble located.

 

0320 05-1832 Prank
Campus Report

            Officers found two vehicles wrapped in clear plastic
material.

 

1056 05-1826 Speeding
Central Dr. Referral

            A student was referred to Judicial Affairs for speeding.

Field House Lot Report

            Officers investigated a minor traffic accident in the Field
House Lot.
