            Felony Charges District Court
Report

            A female student is charged with several felonies by the
Sylva

            Police Department. Charges are for forgery and obtaining
property

            by false pretense.

 

2/23

 

1515 Vandalism Impound Lot
Further Investigation

            Officers investigated the breaking of a rear window of a car
in the Impound Lot.

            It appears the window had been shot out with a high powered
BB gun. There were

            also some dents on the car's body which appeared to have
been made by a BB.

 

1008 Returned Credit Card Police Department
Report

            A found credit card was returned to the owner.

            Follow-up Investigation
Referred

            Officers talked to two students who destroyed a chalk
drawing. Both

            admitted to the incident. Referred to Judicial Affairs for
violation

            of the Code of Conduct.

 

0900 Accident Walker Driveway
Report

            Officers investigated a minor accident involving a CAT Tran
bus.

 

1913 Drug Violation Picnic Area
Referred

            A male student was referred to Judicial Affairs for smoking
marijuana.

 

2020 Stolen Items Baptist Lot
Referred

            Officers received information of road signs being in a
vehicle. Officers saw

            the signs in the vehicle and waited for the driver. When
the driver arrived he

            told officers he found the signs at the scene of a wreck and
had planned to

            hang them in his room. The student is referred to Judicial
Affairs.

 

2149 Larceny/Burglary Benton Hall
Further Investigation

            A student reported the theft of an electronic game,
controller and memory card.

            The items were taken from the student's room.

Citation

            Officers issued a citation to a non-student for speeding.

 

0314 Open Container Dodson Dr.
Citation

            A female student was cited for possession of an open
container of

            an alcoholic beverage inside a motor vehicle while it was
