A detachment of thirty Recruits of the United States army, enlisted at Greenville, S.C. and the adjoining district of Spartanburgh, by Captain Butler, left the former on the 13th for Fort Mitchel, Alabama to complete a company of the 4th Regiment of Infantry stationed at that place, and it is presumed, with a view of facilitating the movements of the emigrating Creek Indians West of the Mississippi.
