What MLK Jr. Means to Us

Brave leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. marched, protested, spoke up and out, and worked hard to change our society.

Decades later, emotions still run deep in students of all races and backgrounds. As we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and look to Black History Month in February, we reflect on the deep-rooted impact that these leaders have had on our nation.

At WCU, we are proud to welcome and celebrate our diverse student body. We acknowledge that our differences and uniqueness is what makes us strong and resilient, prepared to make a brighter future.
