The College of Business at Western Carolina University has moved its Master of Business Administration Program to a fully online format beginning this fall to help provide flexibility, affordability and career-focused learning to working professionals and recent graduates alike.

Alexis Harp was lost her first few semesters of undergrad. Imposter syndrome was hitting her hard. She was a first-generation college student navigating the world of higher education, and to top it all off, she originally didn’t even want to go to college.

Western Carolina University’s College of Business is proud to announce the launch of two new fully online graduate certificate programs in innovation leadership and entrepreneurship, beginning fall 2025.

Western Carolina University double alumnus and best-selling author David Joy will give the keynote address at the annual Research and Scholarship Conference at WCU. The event will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19 in the Ramsey Regional Activity Center.

A few years back, Western Carolina University’s Division of Information Technology added a project management office. Because IT employee Dawn Brown worked closely with the project office, she thought it might be beneficial to learn more about project management. She enrolled in WCU’s Master of Project Management (MPM) Program. Not only has it proven to be helpful in her IT role, but Brown said she now has a complete understanding of the entire project management process.
