Michael Cleveland and his band Flamekeeper will be the headline musical act for this year’s Mountain Heritage Day to be held on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Mini-Mountain Heritage Day will take place Wednesday, July 12, from 1:45-4 p.m. on the campus of Western Carolina University.
The Mountain Heritage Center opened a new exhibit for the summer, “Coverlets: New Threads in Old Patterns,” on display through Aug. 31.

The Mountain Heritage Center has been selected by North Carolina Humanities to host the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service’s exhibit “Crossroads: Change in Rural America.”
