New Student Convocation is an important event that marks the official welcome to the university. We are excited to congratulate and celebrate the arrival of WCU's new students with an event they will not forget.

The Chancellor, Provost, Deans of the Colleges, faculty, and staff convene to help mark the significance of this occasion.

The event will showcase an Academic Processional, led by Chancellor Kelli R. Brown, followed by a performance from the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band that will introduce new students to the WCU alma-mater song.

Next, students will sign the Community Creed, signifying each student's commitment to being a part of this institution and community of scholars who value education. Convocation culminates with the official class photo taken on the football field.
