García-Castañón presents paper at conference in Latvia
Santiago García-Castañón, professor of Spanish in WCU’s Department of World Languages, presented the paper “Escribir poesía y enseñar poesía: la experiencia del poeta-docente en los Estados Unidos (Writing Poetry and Teaching Poetry: The Experience of the Poet-Educator in the US)” at the V Conference on the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language that took place in Riga, Latvia, on Oct. 19-20.
The event, which attracted experts in language teaching from various countries, was organized by the Latvian Academy of Culture and sponsored by the Spanish Embassy in Latvia.
