Arthur Salido, WCU’s executive director of community and economic engagement and innovation, graduated from Leadership North Carolina, a prestigious program with a mission to inform, develop and engage committed leaders by broadening their understanding of and involvement in issues and opportunities facing North Carolina.

Salido was among 56 members of the program’s 26th class who were honored during a graduation ceremony held May 9 in the Old House Chamber of the state capitol.

Over the course of six two-and-a-half day sessions, members of the class learned about issues critical to the state through discussions with top officials and professionals, field trips and experiential learning activities.
