Organizational changes made in Office of University Marketing

Chief of Staff Melissa Canady Wargo has made a few organizational changes in the Office of University Marketing following the recent announcement that Chief Marketing Officer Robin C. Oliver will be leaving WCU to accept the position of vice president for university communications and marketing at Ohio University.

Donna Gallo, formerly social media and digital marketing manager, will, as director of digital strategy, manage the social media team and the university web team. She also will oversee the Office of Photography and Video Services, which now is under the direction of Samuel Wallace, who took the helm of that unit following the retirement earlier this year of longtime WCU photographer and manager Mark Haskett.

Stacy MacGregor, formerly director of special events, is now director of marketing and brand. MacGregor will continue to manage the special events team and is managing the design team, media planning and buying, and university branding/licensing.

Tom Frazier will continue to manage the WCU Print Shop and Mailing Services and will report directly to the chief of staff, as will MacGregor and Gallo.

Oliver’s last day at WCU before departing for her new university in Athens, Ohio, is June 28. The changes in the marketing area went into effect June 1 to allow time for a transition in leadership roles, Wargo said.
