Western Carolina University is offering a noncredit travel course, “WCU Spanish Experience: Valencia,” that will take participants to Valencia, Spain, from June 23 through July 2.
Lori Oxford and Alberto Centeno-Pulido, faculty members in WCU’s Department of World Languages, will lead the trip.
“Join us this summer in Valencia for an educational trip with global perspectives and local insights,” said Oxford. “The city of Valencia and the surrounding area will transport you to Roman and Medieval times and then back to the 21st century.”
The cost of the trip is $1,969 for single occupancy and $1,859 for double occupancy. That includes lodging at a three-star hotel, meals, transportation within Spain, admission to sites, a Spanish cooking class and all excursions. That cost does not include airfare.
Excursions include the cities of Xativa, Sagunt and Utiel-Requena.
