WCU battling James Madison in ‘top adventure college’ competition

Western Carolina University beat out Clemson University in the third round of Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine’s “top adventure college” competition and now is pitted against James Madison University in the fourth round.

The magazine’s contest includes colleges and universities meeting in head-to-head matchups in a 32-school bracket. The college or university receiving the most votes through an online readers’ poll in each round advances to the next round.

Voting in the fourth round continues through 11 a.m. Monday, March 25. If WCU moves up in the contest, the university will go up against Lees-McRae College or Maryville College in the championship round of voting taking place March 25-30.
