Retirement planning course scheduled at Biltmore Park site

Western Carolina University’s Office of Professional Growth and Enrichment has scheduled a three-part “Retirement Planning Now” course for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on April 2, 4 and 9 at the university’s site at Biltmore Park in Asheville.

“As an educational experience, ‘Retirement Planning Now’ contains something for everyone,” said one of the course instructors, certified financial planner Jacob Sadler. “We address financial issues that pertain to most people as they prepare for retirement. The course will help participants develop a framework for their retirement plan and covers information that can help to align personal finances with personal values in order to accomplish your most important goals in life.”

This course is designed to deliver comprehensive and objective information to help participants achieve their most important financial goals. Many key aspects of planning for retirement such as income tax planning, retirement income and expenses, risk management, investment management and estate planning will be covered. The course also touches on retirement lifestyle planning and goal setting, and discusses many retirement roadblocks and mistakes.

“Whether you plan to retire 20 years from now or have just recently retired, the information you learn in this class can deliver rewards throughout your lifetime,” Sadler said. “You went to school to prepare for your career. Now it’s time to prepare for your retirement.”
