The PTA of the Catamount School, a laboratory school for children in the sixth through eighth grades, will be hosting a Fall Carnival on Friday, Oct. 19, at Bridge Park in downtown Sylva.
Set for 5 to 8 p.m., the carnival is being held to raise funds for school trips, materials and special events for students. It will feature family friendly activities such as carnival games, music, food and a bounce house.
The Catamount School is a collaborative effort of Western Carolina University and Jackson County Public Schools. Located on the campus of Smoky Mountain High School, it opened in August 2017.
