Kauffman named recipient of Old North State Award
N. Leroy Kauffman, WCU associate professor of accounting, has been named a recipient of the Old North State Award, one of North Carolina’s highest civilian honors.
The award is presented by the governor to recognize “dedication and service beyond expectation and excellence to the Great State of North Carolina.” Kauffman was selected for the honor because of his contributions as an accountant and board member for the Jackson County Swim Team as well as his other numerous community engagements.
