'To Write Love On Her Arms' founder will speak on campus

Jamie Tworkowski, founder of “To Write Love On Her Arms,” will be the featured speaker on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Western Carolina University’s A.K. Hinds University Center.

“To Write Love On Her Arms” is a nonprofit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. The event, sponsored by Last Minute Productions, will begin at 7 p.m. in the UC Grandroom. It is free and open to the public.

Since developing “Two Write Love On Her Arms” as an attempt to tell a story and help a friend in 2006, Tworkowski has traveled to different venues to share the story. He has been interviewed by NBC Nightly News, CBS Sunday Morning and Rolling Stone magazine.
