Kevin A. Trapani, co-founder and CEO of The Redwoods Group and chair of NCWorks, will serve as keynote speaker for a High Impact Leadership Program offered by Western Carolina University’s Office of Professional Growth and Enrichment.
The program will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Sept. 24-27, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, at WCU’s Biltmore Park location in Asheville.
“In order to be effective as a leader in a constantly changing and politically dynamic world, it is critical to develop personal insights, a better understanding of different working styles, effective communication skills and to learn how to maintain a high level of professionalism in a variety of situations,” said Trapani.
In addition to Trapani, program presenters include Susan Fouts, WCU executive director of educational outreach; attorney Jon Yarbrough of Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete; and Betty Farmer, WCU professor of communication and public relations, and owner of Farmer Communications.
The certificate program is designed for individuals who want to take their careers to the next level to become a high impact leader. Participants will have opportunities to practice working with new leadership styles and develop ways to be more effective.
The registration fee is $795, and $595 for nonprofits. Lunch is included each day. A networking breakfast will be held prior to the keynote presentation by Trapani on Sept. 28.
