Digital Marketing and Public Relations Program set in Asheville

Western Carolina University’s Office of Professional Growth and Enrichment is offering a Digital Marketing and Public Relations Certificate Program from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on six Fridays, beginning Oct. 5 and running through Nov. 16, at the university’s Biltmore Park site in Asheville.

Participants will have an opportunity to create an online marketing communications strategy and powerhouse digital toolbox by completing six full-day workshops taught by expert marketing and public relations professionals.

Justin Belleme

“This program is essential for anyone that does marketing/public relations in their organization,” said Justin Belleme, founder and director of strategy for JB Media Group and workshop instructor. “You will learn so much.”

Other instructors for the workshops include Sarah Benoit of JB Media Group; Cathy Busick of Insight Marketing; Betty Farmer, owner of Farmer Communications and professor of communication at WCU; and Pat Gallo, visual storyteller and videographer.

Participants will hear about the new rules of marketing and public relations, explore the advantages of digital communications and gain new insights into public relations and marketing strategy, branding, budgeting, online content creation, video creation and use, social media and how to effectively track marketing and public relations results.

A certificate will be awarded for completion of all six workshops. The workshops will be offered again in the spring for those who cannot attend all of the fall semester gatherings.

Registration fee for the full program is $640, and individual workshops are $119 each.
