Todd May, professor of philosophy at Clemson University, will visit Western Carolina University to speak as part of the Jerry Jackson Lecture in the Humanities series.
May will present “Our Stories and Our Values” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in Room 223 of the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center.
“Throughout our lives, we tell stories, many of them about ourselves,” May said. “If we reflect on these stories, we will often see values we hold, values that we may sometimes prefer we didn't hold.”
The lecture is a DegreePlus event for students and sponsored by WCU’s Department of Philosophy and Religion, and Honors College. For more information, contact Amy McKenzie in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at 828-227-3852 or amckenzie@wcu.edu.
